Saudi Arabia Expands Breast Cancer Awareness Programs
A National Awareness Campaign to Combat Breast Cancer has been
inaugurated in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to coincide with international Breast Cancer
Awareness month. The campaign is led by Princess Hessah bint Trad Al-Shaalan,
the Honorary President of the Zahra Breast Cancer Association and wife of the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and Princess Rima
bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. It officially launched on October 10.

Zakat for cancer society Al-Jabrein says
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jabrein, a member of the Board of Senior
Ulema, has called for charity and support for the Saudi Society for Helping
Cancer patients through the paying of the Zakat or other means.

Charitable photography exhibition

Campaign for breast cancer detection starts
Breast cancer is no longer part of the Kingdom’s traditional culture of
“Don’t tell anyone.”
Public programs have been set up to encourage women to check on their
breasts for early detection of the No. 1 killer of women in thus region.
